Protecting the Information Chain from cProjects to SAP RD
The requirement focuses on keeping product data accurate as it starts in SAP cProjects, moves to SAP Recipe Development and then flows into post-development systems. Incorrect transfer into RD can break the information chain and negatively affect downstream systems.
Current Functionality
Projects are created in cProjects to represent styles. On release, the interface creates or updates the corresponding program object and pushes updates to generics and variant BOMs where required.
Desired Automation
Automatically create or update finished goods using cProjects attributes, determine whether an existing object is available and connect the project by style number.
One-Way Synchronization
Synchronize cProjects data with PLM data from cProjects to PLM whenever a released project is saved, keeping finished goods updated with relevant project information.
User Visibility
Allow users to view interface status and see user-friendly error messages so corrections can be handled without confusion.

The integration is designed to connect project, style, choice and task information with generic finished goods, variant finished goods and formula creation logic.
- Map one cProjects style project to one generic finished good

All finished goods and gift set development begins with a project in SAP cProjects. On project release, information is transferred to SAP RD to support creation of specification and recipe shells, synchronization of relevant fields and object links between project definitions, tasks and specifications.
